The board of managers of the Waahtecaw county Agricultural society held a meeting last Saturday to consider a proposition made by Israel Hall, of Ann Arbor. He offers to trade 22 acres of land for the fair grounds of the society and to pay $5,000 additional in cash. The laad he offers to trade is a part of his farm and is south of the fair grounds. It is high and dry, and is just ae desirable for the society purposes except that it is a little farther from Ann Arbor. The society could move its buildings and fences to the new land. The debt of the society of $4,000 is in good shape, held by 40 men friendly to the society; but this $5,000 bonus would relieve it entirely of debt, and probably leave enougb to move the buildings and fences to the new.gronnde. It is considered by some to be a very excellent trade for the society ; but some of the members hope to get $7,000 bonus. The board adjourned to meet next Saturday, and will probably cali an election by tho members of the society to decide whether the offer shall be accepted.
