A. Lawrence Rotch, of the Blue Hill meteorological obseivatory, Readville, Mass., was in Aun Arbor last Tbursday and Friday. He is the associatft of Prof. Ilarrington in editinc the American Meteorological Journal. He had a liberal education in the Bostou Polytechnic InBtitute. Having acquired a taste for the study of meteorology, and having ampie mean, he established the meteorologioal observatory I above-mentioned and conducís it at bis I owu expense. He has made two trips to Kurope in the study of hisfavorite science.
