St. Louis, March 21.- Dr. George Cox was in Judge Wilson's conrt at Springfleld, Mo., yesterday Imornlng to explain why he burned Eftiie EUis wlth carbolio acid laat Wednesday. He waived examination, and was bound over to answer to the grand jury in May, and was released on $5,000 bond. Fenton Cox, the wayward son, and the injured girl were in court, and were held as wknesses. Fenton says there wül be no prosecution, and the girl abides by the decisión of "her boy," as she calla him, who has thrown over homs and inheritunce tor hei sake.
