Chicago, March 19.- The strike on the Santa Fe isystem ended yesterday and the engineers and firemen returned to their posta. This move was made in accordance with a request of Cbief Arthtir. The Burlington road was having very little trouble. Jndge Dundy deoided at Omaha that Union Pacific engineers were liable to arrest and imprisonment for ref using to handle Burlington business. Chicago, March 21. -The only visible sign remaining yesterday of the great Burlington strike was the retention of their headquarters in this city by the Brotherhood. The contest itself was declared to be over, despite the rumors of a combination of Bwitcbraen and brakemen to help the engineers and nremen. The boycott on Burlington freight, whlch was the great stroke relied on by the engineers to win their demande, has been completely raised.
