Madison, Wis., March 16.- The Kepublican clubs of the State met here yesterday and organized a State League, with Senator Spooner for president Omaha, Neb., March 16.- A State League of Republican clubs was oreanized in this city yesterday, and Hon. John M. inursura, of this place, was elected president. Madison, Wia, March 1C.- The Democratie State Committee met in this city yesterday and it was decded to hold the State convention May 1 at Madlson to choose delegates to St Louis. It was decided to come ont flat-footed for free trade and to raake the fight on the issues brought up by President Cleveland's message. Indianapolis, Ind, March 16 -The Prohlbition State convention held in this city yesterday nominated Rev. J. 8. Hughes for Governor, and adopte i a platform demanding strict prohibition and woraan suffra(f& Electors-at-large and delegates-at-large were chosen, and four members of the W. C. T. U. were added to the State Central Committee. Providence, K L, March 17 -The BepubHcans met in State convent.ion in this city yesterday and nominated Royal C. Taft, of Providence, for Governor. The platform adopted favors protection to home labor and home indnstry, and a reduction of the internal-revenue taxation. WiNNEM-JCCA. Nev..
