St. Paul, Minn., March 2(J.- A heavy snow-storm has been raging in Northern Minnesota, Wisconsin and Dakota, and there is now from three to live lncheR on the ground. The snow is very heavy and packed hard as it feil. In St Paul street-car travel was abandoned and pedeetrians experienced graat difflcnlty in making their wuy about the etreets. Trains on most of the railroada centering here are from one to seven hours late, while trufflc on the Hastlngs )c Dakota and the St. Paul & Kansas City has been wholly abandoned. The storm appears to have been eepecially severe ín Southern Minnesota, In places th railroad tracks are covered from üve to fifteen feet and the country roads are nearly impassable. Chicago, March 26.- Dispatches from various points in Illinois report inucli Uamage to fruit and shaue trees from tóunday's sleet-storm. TelegTaph and teiephone wires were aiso greatly interíered with. Kansas Cm, Mo., March 27.- Word has reached here of the almost entire destruction of the town of Ninnescah, Kingman County, Kan., last Saturday evening at 7:30 o'clock by a tornado. It had been raining all day, and as evening approached the funnel-shaped terror was seen upproachlng from the sonthwest Ie struck the town and deBtroyed every thing in ita path, leavlng only three houses standing In the whole place. Two churches, five stores and lifteen dwelling-houses were absolutely torn to pieces, and the flying timbers cansed the death of three and the maiming of seventeen citizen Cleveland, O., March 28. - Dispatches ay that high water ín the Blanchard and Sandusky rivers at Findlay and Tiffin has dnven many families from their homes, and great damage to properiy is apprehended. Berlín, Marcü 28.- The banks of the Elbe are flooded for a distance of many miles, and hundreds of villages are submerged. An enormous amount of damage has been done, and many lives have been lost Washington, Ind, March 28.- It has been raming hard for the past four days, ■while the rivers are overflowing, portending great destrucción to growing crops. Madeid, March 23 - Reporta are being received of groat sufferinj among the people in rural district owing to the severe weather. Many peasants perished in the snow and cattle and sheep were lost ín drifts. The thaws have caused serious floods in the Ebro and Tagas valleys.
