Washington, March 27.- The International convention of Woman Suffragists began itB sessons in this city yesterday. The attendance was large, delegates being present from associations in France, England, Ireland, Finland, Norway, India and Canada, Susan B. Anthony called the council to order. Upon the stnge were seated a hnndred or more delegates from National Woman's Rlghts associations or kindred societies. About thirty associations oí thie character ere represented, which is probably the largeet gatbering of notable wonien in the history of this country. Elizabeth Cady Stanton delivered the address of welcome. Washington, March 28.- At the session yesterday of the International Council of Women Mise Clara Barton, president of the American National Bed Cross Society, outlined the oripin, purpoce and work of the Eociety, Miss Francés E. Willard described the work ünJ aims of the Woman's Christian Temperance Union, Harriet E Moiris read a paper on mi6Sionary work, and Amelia S. Qunton described tbe work and objects of the Woman's Indian Association. The entire expenses of the council are paid by Susan B. Anthony.
