Testing Illinois Water

Spkinofieli), 111, April 4. - An extensivo series of tests of the waters of the varioue rjyers in th"e State, under the auspices ol the State Board of Health, wa6 inaugurated Monday and will contnue for irinonths. The test, which will be on the Bcientiöc and bloloKical basis, will cover the waters of the Chicago, Calumet, Illinois, Desplatees, Yerraillion, Kankakee, Bock and Sangamon rivers. The object of the investigation is to determine the extent that these waters are polluted by sewBge, distillery slop and other refuse.
