New York, April 24.- The fire statiatics annually compiled by the Chronicle ot thtscity, show that there were 10,394 noteworthy flres in the United States during 1887, an increaee of 1,172 over 1880. The value of the property burned was $119,209.3S0, an increase of $14,284,030 over 1886. Twenty-one per cent oL the flres were incendiery.
