Dublin, May 8.- At the request of the Catholio members of Parliament the Lord Mayor on Saturday convened a meeting to I discuss the Pope's recent deoree. The result of the conference was the adoption of resolutions disputing the representations of Mgr. PĂ©rsico, the special envoy sent to investigato the state of affairs in Ireland, and upon whose report the papal rescript was based; also assuring the Pope of unutterable devotion to htm In his purely spiritual oapacity as the head of the church, but firmly and emphatically refusing to recoprnize his right to interfere in lrish politics.
