It serros that on ujh a favorable site a s.-lid block ehould be erected instead of a few cramped builfi ings such as bef ore ocupied the spot Why not erect substantial opera house ? Tiiere is need ot just s-ujh a birlding n this city, and a more favorable place could not be se!ec!ted. Tnere is eer ainly idle capital ni this city which coull he 'invested f alvantage in such a bu.ldii.ga on State-st which could c.ntain, besides a larKe opera house, lar ge store rooms, offices, etc. State st has the 6nest buildings in the city and on such a spot as is now lelt vacutit, a building shou.d hp erected which will do justice to lts locality.
