Washington, May 26.- General Shertdan's condition was reported much better iast evening, íollowing a relapse of the mornlng in which he lost all he had gained the day before. A physlciau is in constant attendance. One oí the General's aldea is authority f or the statement that the original attack Monday evening was due to heart f ailure and that there was a sllght recurrence of that trouble yesterday morAing. The General was periectly conscious and bright and cheeriul. Washington, May 28.- Midnight reporte írom General Sheridan say that he is muoh worse. He appears to be gradually slnking and almost all hope ha9 been abandoned. His strength is gradually failing, and while there has been no recufrence of the heart failure there is a continual tendency In that direction and his pulse has been growing weaker and hls breathing more labored. Washington, May 29 -General Sheridan passed a very comfortable day yesterday. His whole condition was very muoh lmproved, and he declared that he tolt splendid. Washington, May 30.- Improvement in the case of General Sheridan continued yesterday.
