At a meeting of the board of stewards of the M. E. chuch, in this city, Monday evening last, W. A. Tolchard presented his resignation as treasurer of the board In accepting his resignation the board pa8sed the following resolution : " Whereas, Bro. W. A. Tolohard has resigced his position as treasurer of the board of stewards after many years of faithful service ; therefore, be ít resolved, that this board desires to expresa its sincere appreciation of the consciëntieus and faithful discharge of his duties as treasurer of this board, and at the same time to express its best wishes for a successful and happy life in the new field of labor whither he is about to go." 0. H. Worden was elected treaeurer to fill the vacancy caused by Mr. Tolchard's resignation.
