The annual meeting of the High School alumni was held in High School hall, last Friday evening. The attendance was not as large as usual, probably on account of the extreme heat, or the rainy weather. The literary exercises consisted of an oration bv Earl B. Dorr, class of '87, on "Our American Westminister," and a poem by Miss Birdie Whedon, entitled "The Class of '86." The customary business meetng for the election of officers for the coming year was held, and then followed a 'eneral reception and socisl, includiDg dancing and refreshments. It is to be re;retted that more of the graduating claes 'i. e., 88) were not present. The followng officers were elected : President, Gr. F. Allmendioger, '74 ; vice-president, Herert M. Frost, '86; secretary, Jessie S. Gregg, '85; treasurer, Helen A. Smitb, 86; orator, Waker Miller, '80; altérnate, Philip R. Whitman, '84 ; poetess, Ada M. jilbert, '85 ; altérnate, Matilda NeumanD, 88 ; executive committee, Miss Alioe Porter, '75, Bugene Best, '85, Edwin F. Gay. 86.
