The July Popular Science Monthly contains the conclusión oL "Darwinnm and the Christian Faith." 'The Teaching of Psychology" by M. Paul Janet. '"Arctie Alatka" by W. L. Howard and other interesting matterr. The Woman's World for this month is one of the most interesting numbers of the year. "Women and Democracy," are discussed in a charminsj manner by Julia Wedgwood. Cassell & Co., New York. George Kennan's Siberian paper in the Century for July on '"The Steppes of the Irtish' is an acconnt of a long ride through the wildest pait of Siberia. It algo contains accounts of the reunions of "the Blue and the Gray" that have taken place at Gettysburg. The Quiver for this month is a very readable number. "Play Rooms for children," "Working-Men's Worries," and "The Divine Truth of the Atonement" are among its leading árticle!. $l.0 per year. Cassell & Oo. Cassell's Family Magazine for July opens with the first chapter of a new Ferial by Kate Eyre, entitled "For the Good of the Family." The Magazine of Art for July has "The Aims of Art," "Old Arts and Modern Thoughts," ''The Crown, its Growth and Development." Cassell & Co. One of the latest and best political histories of the day is the work entitled " Pelitical Discussions " by James G. Blaine, it being a compilation of all his best speeches, from the birth of the Republican party down to the present time. Among them might be mentioned, " The National issues of 1880," " Confiscation of Rebel Property," " The Democratie Party and the Constitutional Amendments," "Southern Abuse of the Elective Franchise." Speech made by him on accepting his first nomination for the offioe of President. Speech on Chinese Immigration. Eulogy on Senator Chandler and many other master-pieces of eloquence. Mr. Blaine is resognized as one of the ablest debaters of the day, and bis speeches are always read with interest It is an entertaining book. The agent for this book in Washtenaw county is A. E. Gebhardt, who will probably give every one who desires a chance to buy.
