1-83EKA, Kan., July 2a- The county m war in Stevens County has broken out ifresh and has resulted in the murder of John Cross, sheriff of the county; 8. H. Hubbard, C. W. Eaton, H. Taney and W. EL Wilcox, all citizens of Woodsdale, and it is reported others have been killed, making eleven in all. Late idvices received by teleRraph say the whole country is in arms and that there is danger of another conflict at any time. Governor Martin was asked what Bteps he would take, but he could not say until he had received authoritative information from bbth sides. St. Louis, July 30.- Mayor Price, f Woodsdale, Kan., in nis report to Governor Martin with reference to the Stevens County war, said that when the news of the killing of Sheriff Cross and several of his posse reached Woodsdl it oreated wild excitement. A meeting was held in the town hall.
