New York, July 91.- Thcre is every reason to believe that the reception which is to be given to Mr.Blaine upon his arrival at this port will bo the greatest event of lt kind that has ever taken plaoe in this country. It lias been organized on a grand scale, and already the interest in it is in tense. The New York committee has secured the steamer Som Sloan, which will leave Pier 18 Horth River the day of Mr. Vlaine's arrival, prooeed tothe lower bay with members of the olub and its invited guests, and tako Mr. Blaine on board. Mr. Blaine, the evening of the day after his arrival, will review the procession of clubs, organizations, and citizens from a stand to be erected near the Filth Avenue Hotel. Interest in tho groat reception is becoming widespread, and not less than 100,000 men are expected to be in the line that is to pass the Fifth Avenue Hotel. Frons the letters pouring in upon the Reablicau Club's committee it seems certain that from 25,000 to 40,000 members of Republican clubs in New York State, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Jersey and Pennsylvania will take part. The Young Men's Blaine Club, of Chicago, wll also be represented. The most picturesque feature of the whole affair will be the boat parade that will accompany the Sam Sloan down the bay to wsloome Mr. Blaine. Evory available steamboat in this vlcinlty has been chartered for the occasion, and will start down tb.e bay when the City of New York is sigfcted. The biggest demonstration will, of course, be the land parade. "Whetfcer Mr. Blaine will speak on the occasion oí the review is not yet known.
