The annual meetiDg of the Washtenaw pioneer society was held at the Relief park yesterday. The day was delightful but owing to the county convention and the very busy time with farmers, the meeting was not large. The old pioneers had a very happy time, living over their eventful lives frocn the early settlement of Michigan. The old patriarch, Father Greddes, bom in 1800, was preseDt, the picture of healtb, and active as a young man. Rev. S. H. Adama delivered an address on the importance of pioneer work in the hiatory and settlement of the world. It was replete with historical facts. Mr. Lambel read an original poemon the pioneers of Washtenaw county. J. W. Wing read a poeai on pioneer life. Mr. Finley, of the weather bureau st Washington, son of Floties Finley. of Ypilanii, delivered a very instructiva address on meteorology, thecauBes ofstorms, &c The foll iwing officers for the ensuing ypar wete elected : President, Conrad Krapf; eecretary, J. The whole number of deaths of pioneers since December 3d, 1887, and September 5th, 1888, included in this statement are 56, and their average ages is nearly 76 years. The three oldest persons included in the list are Daniel Moore, aged 93 years, Mrs. Amauda Judd, aged 92 years, Mrs. Geo. McKim, aged 91 years.
