Jerry Minnis has removed his family to Jackson where they will make their future home. Mrs. Granger returned Saturday evening from Detroit, where she has been visiting relatives. Dr. Harry W. Davis, of Ottawa, Kan., a gradúate of the dental college, is back in the city visiting friends. C. B. Woodward, the popular clerk at the Brunswick hotel, Detroit, ran up here to see his wife Saturday. Miss Anna Rhodes, of Concord, is spending a month with her uncle, George H. Rhodes, of the Kifth ward. Bert. Schumaoher, Jas. Harkins and Geo. Parker returned Friday from a camping expedition at Base lake. Miss Christina Kneussl, of Ottawa, 111., who has been visiting the family of D. F. Schairer, retumed home Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. C. W. BrowD, lit '88, is teaching matheanatics in the high school of La Portf, Ind ; N. D. Corbin, '86, is principal, and Miss M. E. Suhmermund, '85, teaches Germán and English in the same school. Mrs. W. R. Sawyers, who has been spending the summer with her mother, Mrs. J. C. Schryver, started for her home in Fort Worth, Texa?, Friday. Her aunt, Mrs. C. M. Smith, of Ontario, accompanied her. Dr. W. F. Breakey returned Monday, from a trip to Mackinaw, the "Soo," and the northwest. He wa9 accompanied by bis daughter, who stopped over at Kalamazöo, and his son, James, who is now visiting at Marshall. Cards are out announcing the marriage of George W. Millen, the popular young dry goods clerk at D. F. Schairer'e, to Miss Jessie Wetmore, of Concord, at the residence of the bride's parent?, next Thursday evening at 10 o'clock. Mr. Kittredge, of TnE Register, returned from Maine on the 11:35 train last night, considerably improved in health from his eastern trip. He does not claim that his presence in the Pine Tree state up to the day of election had anything to do with the general result ot the election, but it will be strange if he has not imbibed and brought home with him some of the "magnetic" enthusiasm with which he was surrounded while in Maine. Oq Sept. 11, at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. F. McDonald, occured the marriage of their daughter Flora to Dr. D. Pierce, Rev. Dr. Ramsy officiating. Mrs. Pierce graduated from the University in '83, while Dr. Pierce took special work in the hterary departmsnt in 82-83. He however took both his Hterary and medical degrees in the U. of Pa. The happy couple will be at home to their friends after Sept. 18, at McKeesport, Pa., where the doctor has been located for the last two years.
