It will, doubtleas, be a pleasant surprise to many to learn of the marriage, last eveninp, of the above named parties. The ceremony took place at the home of the bride's unció and aunt, Mr. and Mre. Freeman, at 48 aouth Fourth st in this city. Though very private, there being none present except the near relatives and a few immediafe friends of the contracting parties, it waa, nevertheless, one of the most pleasant affaiis of the season. The bride wore an elegant Btting and rich seafoam surah silk dress, trimmed with white lace, and carried in her hand a bunch of lovely cream-colured roses. Mr. Aderas, of Illinois, wa9 groomsman, and Miss Franc Crosby, tha bride's sister, acted at bridesmaid. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr. Caimán of the First Baptist church. His words were very fitting and made every one feel the solemnity of the oecasion. The presenta were numerous, valuable, and, without exception, very appropriate, At ten p. m. an elegant supper was served, soon after which the party separated, wishing the happv couple, as all their other numerous friends will do, a very pleasant future. The bride, Miss Hatüe Crosby, is a member of the senior literary class of the University. She ha9 made many friends during her studies here, and is highly respected and esteemed by all who know her. 01 the groom, A. E. Jennings, it can be said that there has, probably, never been another young man who, during his college course, has become so well and so favorably known to the people of our city and university people in general. His work in connection with the Students' Chritian aesociation has proved him to be a man of far more than ordinary ability. For such a young man there can be no possibility of anything but a prosperous future awaiting him. Mr. and Mrs. Jennings will remain in Ann Arbor during the coming year and complete their studies in the university. They will reside during the coming year at 48 South Fourth-st, where they will be at home to their many friends. _
