Ukiah, September 11. - Last Saturday vening Frank Holpin and L. G. Carpener, both residents of Mendocino City, went out in a rowboat fishing a short disance out of the harbor. It was not loDg before a heavy fog carne up, which no oubt cau8ed them to lose their hearings. )n Monday the row boat was cast ashore t Casper creek, five miles abc Mendoino City. It is believed by all l&at they were drowned, although there is a poísilility of their being picked up by some oasting vessel.
