D. Cramer is at Monroe today. B. J. Corbin, of Dundee, was in the city Tuesday. Prof. Henry Wado Rogers returned last Saturday. Mrs. John Wahr is visiting her parents in Saline. Mr. and Mrs. D. Mclntyre were in Detroit last week. W. L. Baillie and wife were visiting at Flint last week. Mr. S. S. Blitz returned from Alpena, Monday evening. Fred T. Stimson has been in Toledo on business this week. Gr. G. Stimson has gone to Manhattan, Ohio, to visit friends. Mrs. C. H. Ludlow, of Detroit, is visiting her father, John Mooie. Sibney Taylor and wife, of Tawas City, are visiting friends in the city. C. H. Millen, jr., of Manchester, spent Tueeday with relatives in the city. A. W. Hamilton and wife left Tuesday evening for Boston to spend a week. Miss Gertie Wade spent last week with her brother, C. F. Wade, at Jonesville. Miss Anna Adams, who has been spending several weeks at Dexter, bas returned. Miss Kate M. Hale has returned from Grand Rapid?, where she spent the summer. Mrs. H. M. Roys, of Farwell, is visiting her mother, Mrs. D. S. Millen, in the Fifth ward. George Hirth has returned trom camping and is now at Brown's drug store again. Frank Higgins, law '86, Missoula, M.T., has been visitiog friends in the city this week. Miss Emma Schmid returned Monday from Columbus, where she has been visiting her uncle. Mrs. A. T. Hill, of Detroit, who has been visiting her father, Calvin Bliss, returned home Friday. Dr. A. C. Nichols and wi(e, returned Monday evening, from a visit to his parents at Hudson. Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Peterson returned Tuesday from a three months' visit in New York and Ohio. Mrs. O. J. Parker, nee Florence Tremaine, of Howell, is visiting her sister, Mrs. J. R. Bach. Mrs. Jennie Foster, of Chicago, is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Clark, on North Main-st. Dr. Vaughan and Prof. Dennison sailed from Hamburg for home, yesterday, by North Germán line. Alexander Hoffman, of Grand Blanc, was visiting his cousin, J. P. Hoffman, of Ann Arbor, Sunday. H. M. Holmes, of Tns Register, left for Byron this morning, being called by the sickness of his father. A party of nearly twenty-five will go to Concord this evening to attend the wedding of Qeorge W. Millen, of this city, and Miss Jeesie Wetmore, of Concord. Prof. M. E. Cooley returned last week, from New York state where he has been spending the summer. D. B. Cheever went to Battle Ureek, Monday, to spend a few days with C. D. Warner, of that place. Elmer Crawford, of the Saturday Telegram, East Saginaw, spent Sunday with Eis parents in this city. Airs. C. S. Millen gave a reception, Tuesday afternoon. About 150 of her lady friends were present. Mrs. W. M. Featherly, of Au Sable, is spending a week with her sister, Mrs. J. P. Hoffman, 69 S. Main-st. The Misses Anna and Lillie Oondon returned Tuesday evening from Minneapolis, where they spent the summer. Miss Mary Spring, of New Hamburg, Ont., is visiting her brother in this city, and will remain duriDg the winter. President Angelí and family arrived home last Thursday night from the east where they have spent the summer. Mrí. C. A. Chapín and daughter, Mary, return this evening from Topinabee, where they have spent the summer. Earle Wetmore, lit. '87, who is dow conneoted with an electric company in New York, was in the city yesterday. Mrg. John Henley returned Thursday evening from Kansas, where she has been spending the summer with her daughter. Mrs. Gr. W. Doty, of Manchester, who has been visiting her Ron, W. Q. Doty, in this city, returned to her home Monday. Geo. F. Samuel, class of '85, ü. of M., is assistant engineer iu the bureau of Btreets of the department of' public workg in Chicago. Will R. Trowbridge, a member of the medical class of '89, has aceepted a position to teach at the military schooi at Huntington, Pa. Harrv L. Chamberlain, formerly with John Keek & Co., in this city, was married on the 6th inst. at Omaha, Neb., to Miss Susie S. Haworth, of that city. E. B. Abe), who went to his old home in New York state on account of his health, is recovering, and is now in New York city buying the fall stock of goods for the flrm. % Will H. Shetterly, of Battle Creek, former Ann Albor boy, and Miss Mary Mahaney, of this city, were m8rried last Thursday, at the residence of Father Frierle. Dr. J. N. Martin writes The Register, from Paris, that himself and wife will be on the move until they sail for home, which they expect to do in time to arrive here by Oct. 1. S. Draper, a prominent lawyer, banker andranchman, with his family, are visiting his wife's fatber, Hanson Sessions. Mr. Draper is a gradúate of the law department, class of '74. The Agricultural College Speculum of Sept 10 says : "Park P. Nelson was married to Miss Dimmie Fletcher on Aug. 15, at Taylor, Mich. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson will reside in Ann Arbor after Oct. 1." Prof. Walter Miller, of tliis city, and Miss Jennie Emerson, of Racine, Wis., were married, Thursday, Sept. 13th, at the bride'a residence.
