The mi vement did not meet with indursement even in the southern counties of tha State, where 50 per cent of the survivers of the war are Democratie. During the last two weeks Mr. Koontz has visited several counties where he hoped to establish posts, bu he did not receive any encouiagement whatever, and he bas returned i.ome ready to drop the movement. Quite a number of those who became memi bers of the post org.inized here have with drawa and others will iollow their example.
