Of them the Ohio Prfga says "On Minlay evening a good sizeil hudience gathered in Hale's Opera Houte to hear this famous company. It was an excellent entertainment and carne fully up to the expectations every one had of it. Many said it was the best ininstrel company that has ever appeared in town- and that is certainly saying a great deal. Sc.ch veterans as Lew Benedict, Billy Rice, Wm. Smith, and Waldron, Haley and Martin are hard to beat, and theunstintedapplause showed ■ plainly that the love of the average racuse audience for first-class minstrelgy has not abated. Those who cnticise the public taste in the matter of entertainments will have to get what pleasure they can in hacking away at the dear people, for the dear people do like a minstrel show. The best aumbers on ihe programme were "Silver Bel s"- the charming song aml dance by Baker, Jones, Manning and Davis- the negro specialties by the Big Four, Lew Benedict, and Fata Morgana."
