Prof. A. Hennequm expects to leave Aun Arbor next year, and probably will reside in New York city. "I nm a doctor of plays," he said recectly. "My work requires contactwith dramatic people. Within the past few months I have dootored 17 plays. A dramatic cotnpany gets out on the road and finds that there is something wrong with their play, - it doesn't satisfy audiences. The plot may not be suffioiently clea'; there may be some fault in tbe setting. Tney don't want to consult the author, hecause he usually thinks his own production is perfect. Ttiey fend it to me and describe the situation. I teil them wheiher I can clear away the tronble, and ïf so, how much I will charge. Usually, a little chanste in the dialogue, or the inseition of a linie dialogue or a character and a change of etage setting, will make the play more valuable. I do that work. For fixing over one play in that way, I received $250."
