O. S. Millen was in Detroit Tuesdüy. A. H. Roys and wife visited a soa in Farwell last week. Miss Jennie Mclntyre lelt yesterday for a visit in Grand Rupids. Prof. J. H. McDonald, of Tuledo, was in Ann Arbor Tuesday. Mrs. J. G. Schairer spent Sunday in Dexter as the guest of E. Jedele. Líw Clement and wife have been in Colon and Coldwater, for a week. Mrs. EI. A.' Wetmore, of Cheboygan, is visiting her niece, Mrs. G. W. Millen, 48 B. Ann. A birthday surprise party was given Miss Bmma Collier at 23 14th-st , last Friday eveuing. Mrs. Louise Killilca, daughter of Mrp. Dr. Hartley, returnod to her home in Milwaukee, Wis., Monday. Hon. Bvron Waite, ot Menominee, mcmber of the legislature, spent Sanday at D. Cramer's, in Ann Arbor. Last week, before the teachers and officers of St Andrews' parisb. Mr. H. J. Brown read a paper on "Teaching of infant-i in Sunday school." Fred. S. Lawrence, foremau of Tub Ank Arbor Rkoister, has accepted the foremanship of the job rooms in the State printing office at Linsing. Mrs. W. F. Warren, mother of Mrs. A. L. Noble; returned wiih Mrs. Noble from Albion, N. Y., last week. Mrg. Noble has not been able to gpeak aloud for five weeks. J. T. Jacobs nd wife and daughter Kalie, W. C. Stevens and wife, Dr. W. F. Breakey and daughter, and Col. II. S. Dean, attended a reception of the Loyal Legión at Gen. Alger's, in Detroit, last week. Graud High Priest B. F. Watts delivered the annual address, Tuesday, before the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch masons assembled in Grand Hapids, and pre8ided at the meeting. Chap. E. Piscock, W. G. Loty, J. L. Stone, L. C. Goodrich, Joseph Clark and W. W. Watts, of Ann Arbor, were also in attendance. Charles Butler and wife, of Hamburg, on Monday celebrated the 2Oth anniversary of their wedding. C. H. Worden and E. S. Worden and their wWes, cousins ot Mr. Butler, attended the happy event, laden with gifts ot' China ware. Quite a delegation from North6eld was also there, iucluding E. E. Leiand and wife, Chas. Smith and wile, Mre. Andrew Smith and Mi66 Alice Wordec. Mrs. Thomas", of Partello, who has been visiiing lier raoiher in A tin Arbor, Mr?. Shurtleff, relurned home on Monday, accompamed by Miss Nora Shurtleff. Mi's Shurtleff will vi.-it Maishail and Charlotte before returniog to Ann Arbor. Evart H.
