Found In A Well

On Tuesday as Michigan Central employees were cleaning out an oíd well or eistern opposite the freight depot, they found the body of an infant male child floating on the water. The well is 22 feet deep, and there was six feet of water. The well had notbeen used for eight years, and is located in a small building formerly used for pumping water. The building had been looked for two months except when it was opeced to get a switch light. Dr. Kapp, after an examination of the luDgs, testified before the coroner's jury thac the child was born alive, and the indications are that it is a white child, having little if any African blood.
