Tragedy In Michigan

Lansing, Mich., Jan. 29.- August Tonto, a neighbur of Christian Stochal, who resides wltb his family, consisting of his wife, son, and a granddaughtor tiamed Miss Foltz, seven miles froui this city, approached the Stochal residenco on Saturday night and lired four shots from a repeatine shot-gun at the occupants through a window, instantly Killing Mr. Stochal and dangrerously wounding Miss Foltz and Mr. Stochal. Young Stochal was absent at the time. It is supposed that robbery was the object of the murderer, but failiug to kill the whole family Tonto fled without attempting robbery. Lansixg, M ch., Jan. 30.- August Tonto, who attempted the triple murder at Delphi Saturday night, was captured Tuesday in a barn eight miles from the scène of the tragedy. He confess d the crimo and said he did it because the 'Stcckal faraüy had been talking about him. He was taken to the county jail at Masón.
