Miss Matber assumed the part of Juliana in "The Honeyinoon," last evening, in the Union Square theatre, and made a very favorable impression on her audience. The passion of Juliet and the woe of Leah have displayed lier abilily in tratedy and lugubrious ïnt'ln-drania tosuch advantaje asto win her gennine and continued favor of the public, and her efforts !ast evening eiirned for her an added fame as a comedian. In comed y, as in trajiedy, Miss Mather makes her effects by forcé of stage intelligence and phygical attractiveness and power - not by, in any hense, niaking herself the characler she scems to be. Her auccess with the audience is therefore the more creditable to der energy and pernstency, for she plays her roll with unfligging industry and determination, and so compels rec ognition. Her ohief scènes, her byplay, and all are weil learned and carefnlly executed, and she conquere. Her Juliana is, at all events, an interesting lerfuruiance. She has already so thoronbly enlisted the regard of the New York public thattbose who have seen her Juliet or her Leah will desire to ' hi'v lier Juliana, and will be repaid. - New York World.
