The following have handed their names to the president of the Washtenaw oounty republican club and signifled their intention of attending the annual banquet of the Michigan club, which will be held in Detroit, in the Lamed street rink, to-morrow evenint. The members of the Washtenaw county Republican club will meet at the Brunswick house, Detroit, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon, lor the purpose of electing three delegates to the natioual convention of Republican clubs which meeta at Bahimore on Feb. 28 The Choral Uoion in the past has been instrumental in producing many of the great master works of musical art. It goes without saying that it has thereby conferred a great b'.essing on the community. To deny this is to deny the inflaence of music as an elevating, refining and educational factor in our life. We are pleased to learn that it now propo?es to give another concert, presenting a programme rep'ete with variety and charm. It is the pliin duty of all persons interested in rausic, to s'istain it in suoh endeavors, and by a liberal pa'ronage stimulate this society to still higher achievements in its cho?en field. Renaembcr the date as announeed, viz., February 28, at Hobart hal!. Lieut. L. D. Mioer, U. S. N., has been detailed for service at Michigan Univer-ity, by Secretary Whitney.
