Auckland, N. Z., Feb. 16.- The latest advices from Sainoa say there haa been no change in the pituation since the last report. There has been no fighting, and Tamasese and Mataafa remaln in their Btronirholds. The British Consul haa warned British subjects not to supply natives with arms, and to maintiiin strict neutrality. The British war-shin Calliope has replaced the war-ship Royaïist. The German and American war-ships remain staöonary. Herr Branders, the partisan of Tamasese, has been recalled to BerUn. Beelin, Feb. 19.- It is said thatthe Gov. eminent is to effect a settlement of the Samoan question upon the basia of the United States Government's proposal at the ■Washington conference- namely : The estabXishment of a joint American, Germán and English control over the Samoan Government throughthe Consuls of the three countriea at Apia. Iondon, Feb. 19. - The Standards Berlin correspondent says he understands that the Germán Government is disposed to suspend hostilities in Samoa during the Samoan conference, but only on condltion that estates belonging to Germán subjects be evacuated by Samoans and that boundary lines of the belligerents' possesslons be marked and respected. This can not be done officially, however, because Germany reg-ards Mataafa as a rebel leader, not as a King:.
