Let Prosecuting Attorney Lehman explain the statement of the following case as given by the Milan Leader: "The case of G. W. Eiwards and Alex. McMullen, for ftmiishing liquor to Fred Lamkin, was called at Justice Kelsey's court Wednesday afternoon. The train frotn the north was late, so Prosecuting Attorney Lehman could not get here on time, and the case was held open. Finally Lehman telephoned the justice to discontinue the case. Thia course of the prosecuting attorney, discontinuing the case without a hearing, has laid him wide open to severe criticism on the part of all law abiding citizens, and the saloon element rejoice. If Mr. Lehman wants to hear some remarks that would make an honest official blush, he should come down here and talk with some of the men who are not bound to the saloon with sympathetic ties." _________i_i
