Washington, April The Matthews family announce that the marriage of Miss Matthews and Justlce Gray will take place fomii time during next rnonth. The Sapreme Court adjourns on May 11, and the wedding will likely ocenr on the following Wednesday, the 15th. The wedding will be very quiet, owing to the death oL lliss Matthews' father. Washington, April 11. - An agreement has been reached between the United States, England and Germany, by the tenns of which each of the three countries named will keep but one war ship in Hamoan waters pending the results ot' the forthcoming conference at Berlín. Washington, April 11.- Kear-Admiral T. H. Patterson (retired) died yesterday at his home in this city, aged 09 years. Washington, April 13.- The President has appninted Lyman E. Enapp, of Middlebury, Vt. , to be Governor of Alaska, Washington, April 13. - Edwin J. lüehardson, of Indiana, a former special examiner in the Pension Office, has been reintated. Washington, April 13.- President HarrlBOn has appointed Lyman E. Knapp, of Middlebnry, Yt. , to be Governor of Alaska. Washington, April lfi.- Kear-Admiral Williain lïodgers Taylor died here yesterday, aged 78 years. Washington, April 16. - Captain George W. Wilson, of Ohio, and H. C. Rogers, of Pennsylvania, qualifled Monday respectively as Deputy Commissioner and chief clerk of the Internal Revenue Bureau. Washington, April The Secretary of State has been iuformed by cable of the death at Breslau of Consul Dlthmar, the United States representative there. Mr, Dithmar was appointed to the position by President Hayes in 1878, and has held the oiöce ever since. Washington, April 16.- The President, Mrs. Harrison and her gueat, Mrs. Murphy, of 8t. Paul, and Secretarles Blaine and Windom took a trip down the Potomac Monday, golng as far as Budd's Ferry, thirty-two miles from Washington. The party returned at 5:30 o'clock. The trip was keenly enjoyed and the exoursioniatB expressed themselves as delighted th their sis hours' outing. Washinoton, April 16.- Attorney-General Miller on Monday presented to the Suprema Court the resolutions adopted at the meeting of the bar on April 0 to take action upon the death of Hou Stanley Matthews. Brief enlogies to the memory of the late Associate Justice were made by the Attorney-General and Cliiel- Justioe Fuller, and the resolutions were ordered spread upon the records of the couit.
