Cleveland, O., April 13.- A special from New I'híladfilphia says: A cyclcne struck the mining towu oL Beldier Friday afternoon deinolishing six dwellings. William Lewis' twelve-year-old daughter was caught iu tlie rulns and fatally injured. Others were badly hurt. Partieulars are meager. At Fowhattan, O., the roof of Hornbrook's block was blown off, landing on Giffen & Co. 's drug store, crushing it badly. A Mr. Coleman was blown away witJi the roof and badly hurt. Wheelixo, W. Va., April 18 - The country along tlie Ohio from this citv tor thlrty miles, and westward thiouifh Belmont County, O., was viaited at 6 o'clock Friday evening by a very heavy storm of rain, wind and hall, which did great damage to property at a number of placee. Half a dozen houses and other buildings were struck by lightning, and two or three of them were burned. Beaufort, N. C, April 13 -Dm ing the recent gale Portsmouth, a narrow island near Ocraconte iulet, in this State, was snbmerged, drowning cattle, sheep and hogs. The waterro.se many f eet in the houses and there was great destruction of property. The inhabitants took to the house tops, remaining there until the storm was over. Great snfforhig was experienced, but no lives were lost.
