Queenstown, April 1& - The Inman steamer City of Chester on reaching here yesterday reported having Bighted the steamer Danmark, of the Thingvalla line, on April 8 In a disabled and sinking condition, having apparently been abandoned in mid-ocean. The Danmark, when she sailed from Christiana, Norway, from New York, had about 7U0 persons on board, and the lnference is that these have either been lost or are at sea in the Bhip's boats. New Yokk, April 18.- Tho greatest excitement prevalls here over the reported loss of the Danmark. She was commanded by Captain Enudsen, an old seainan, well knowu for his courage and presence of mimi, and the agents here feel certain that no lives have been lost New York, April 15.- The offices of th Thingvalla steamship line kept opan all day Sunday to answer questions of the friends of the passengere of the ill-fated Danmark of that line, supposed to be lost in mldAtlantic. No news carne. It is possible that some ship has picked np the Danmark's people and made for the Azores, 450 miles from the locality where the Danmark is supposed to have been disabled. There is no telegraphic communlcation with the Azores.
