Detboit, Miuh., April SS.- A tire at Denn's Hotel, u cheap lodging-house, 4:! and 45 Cadillac square, at 3 o'olock 8unday afternoon, cauBed the doath of three moa and serious iujury to a fourth. Malaki Powell, porter, let a lighted lamp fall from hls hands in tho rear of the bar-room, and in an almost incrudible npace oL time the entire building wm full of amoke. E. J. Glbson, a bartonder, and F. T. Bolllo wcre aRloep on the tlilrd lioor and both were ouffocatvd. Willlam Whlttaker, a sailor,wa-s seen at hls window on the fourth floor, but l)ofore the tomen could reach hlm he feil baok and was smothered. Powell wasbadly burned, but wiĆ¼ probably recover.
