House- The report of the speoial committes appointed to investígate the charges of cruel treatment at asy]ums shows that four persons have died at the Pontiao instilution from injuries received by being thrown upa nst chaira and settees. The report does nnt blame the managers. Bills were passed appropriating 58,00J for the expenses of the F.sh Commissioners ; prohibit.ng the s:ile of tobáceo to minors, and providing that the council of any town or rillage may nrpoint a meat inspector to ciim ne all raoats for 6ale in the Corporation. No beef is to be exposed for Balo that has not been inspected in the State withln lorty-eight hours from the time 't was slaughtered and certified as healthy. Adjourned to May 1.
