Si. Louis, April 27.- Logan ü. Eeavls, who died Thursday nlght at the city hospital, was one of the quaerest characters In the West. LHe wa3 bom In Mason County, Hl., fiftyelght yeara ago, and lirst carne to St Louis in 1846. Ha purchased the Boardstown (Hl.) Gazette in 1835 and changed. lts name to the Central IUinoisan. H retarued to St. Louis in 1BÖS and pub lshed the Press, wh eh proved a fiat fallure. He then went to Washington as an officeseeker, but was d saiipointed. Thls embittered hlm agalnst Washington, and he began to agitate the quoslion of inoving the capital to St. Louis. Ho wroteahistorioal and biographical work called 'St. Louis, the Fuiure Great City of the World, ■' and he was givon the sobrlquet of "Capital Mover," while St. Louis was derisively called the "Future Groat."
