On Thursday, May 9, case of Harvey Bennett vs. John B. Schaible; trespass on the case upon promises; verdict, no cause of action. Daniel Cox vs. F rederick Chester; appealj verdict for plaintiff, 6 cents. The People vs. John C. Wilson; appeal fromjustice court where defendant was found guilty ofacting as agent for the Detroit Sunday World. C. H. One defended Mr. Wïlaon and succeeded in excludiug Mayor Beakes' testimony as to the character of the paper, and in his gpeech bore down heavily on the city marshal who made tbe complaint soon after that paper hit him. The defendant was found guilty, and was ordered to appear on May 20 for fentence. On Satarday afternoon last was begun the trespass case of Chas. L. Allen vs. Wila P. Lampkin, and it was not concluded till yesterday. Mr. Allen is a resident of Ann Arbor, and is a carpenter and builder. Some years ago he lived in Milán, and rented a piece of ground of the defendant for $10 per year. There ig now an interminable dispute about it, which is still in progress.
