There was a red-hot meeting of the medical faculty last Thursday afternoon to take action on the case of Corydon L. Ford, the senior medical student who placed his name to a circular reflecting on Dra. Vaughan, Elerdman and Obetz. Dr. Vaughan preferred charges against Ford, and a resulution expelling him from the department was preseuted. Only seven members were present and to expel him the votes of two-thirds of these were necessary. Four voteJ for his expulsión and three against, so that Ford still is a member of the department. The contest over the postoffice is still on, the candidates numberiDg about the same as a week ago. The contest closes today so far as petitions are concerned Capt. Allen says, and his decisión will probably be made aoon.
