■This'week a half interest in The Rgster Printing and Publiehing House is . sold to Mr. Selby A. 'Moran,, and he will assume an active interest at once. Mr. Moran began life in 'an interior Iowa town, when that state was comparatively new and experieticed' all' {he discouraging trials of a pioneer. 'He was early seized with an ainbition for an.education ; and in spite of many obstáples that -would.have seenied to some'útterly insurmountable, and unaided by. anyone,.he worked his way' through the preparatory scbools of his state, and into ttíe University in the fall of 1883. ' His entire capital etook 'when he landedat the oíd tumble-down Michigan Central d&p'ot that then disgraced Ann Arbor, was some knowledgs, any ampunt of grit and $9.75 cash.; To enter the University lie found thát he had to tóake up every examination but two.
