Sprinkle The Streets
Editor of The Register : Permit me a suggestion ia regard to the duity streets of our otherwise beautiful town. Private sprinkling is, of necessity, ocoasional and spasmodic. Many of those who have hydrants seem to have grown weary in well doing. Now, is there any better way of securing universal comfort - the comfort of those who have to walk in the streets as well as of those whose homes face them - than to sprinkle them all at public expense ? Such a large contract, it seems to me, would impose upon each lot-o wner a tax which would be trifting compared with the good secured. Ann Arbor, July 8.
