Mrs. Clare Durand is visiting relatives at Chelsea. Secretary Wade is ependingithis week at the " Soo." Mies Alta Parker was at Chelsea one day last week. Miss Dr. M. M. Culter left Tuesday for Grand Rapids. George Stimson is visiting at Plainville again this week. Geo. H. Pond spent the latter part of last week at Flint. E. B. Abel has gone to New York state to visit his family. Mrs. E. B. Norris and children are visiting at Manchester. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Nickels are visiting at Madison, Dakota. Hon. E. D. Kinne is at Watertown, N. Y., on legal business. E. B. Abel has gone to Auriesville, N. Y to spend the summer. T. F. Moran, of Manchester, has been visiting M. J. Cavenaugh. T. F. Hill and wife left Tuesday to spend a week at Gratiot Beach. Miss Gracia Moore has gone to Toledo to viait her grand-parents. Miss Eva Herbert is visiting friends in the vicinity of South Lyon. Fred Stimson is rusticating this week at Pine Lake, near Kalamazoo. Misse8 Mary and Susie Barringer leave next Tuesday for Bay View. Miss Louise Pond left Tuesday for Detroit to spend several weeks. Miss Grace Taylor, of Marquette, will spend the summer in the city. John It. Miner is camping at Strait's Lake, near Pontiac, this week. Willie Traub, of Detroit, is visiting his grandmother, Mrs. A. M. Bross. A. L. Noble and wiíe spent a couple of days this week at Grand Rapids. John Ferdon is home from St. Paul, visiting his parents for a short time. Gilbert Bliss left Saturday for Detroit and a brief trip around the lakes. Miss Lillie Condón returned Monday from a week's visit at Grosse Isle. Miss May Payne, of Nashville, Tenn., is the guest of Miss Carrie Watts. Dr. Lceffler and wife, of Saginaw City, are visiting her mother, Mrs. Miley. D. E. Oaborne and family started last night on their return trip to China. Miss Mary Lyman, of Buffalo, N. Y., is visiting her aunt, Mrs. J. C. Watts. E. D. Pletcher and wife left yesterday for Cleveland to spend a few weeks. Chas. W. Wagner and wife left last Thursday for a trip around the lakes. George Wahr is at New York this week attending a convention of booksellers. Dr. J. N. Martin and wife were sniffing the bay breezes at Petoskey, Monday. Mrs. C. S. Milten and son Clinton are spending a few weeks at Wbitemore Lake. Mrs. O. A. Kelly and Mrs. W. A. Whitmarsh, of Milan, were in the city Tuesday. Miss May King of East Orange, N. J., is visiting Dr. Geo. W. Green and family. Chas. A. Redelsheimer. of Cincinnati, has been spending a few days with S. S. Blitz. Miss Mattie Drake leaves today to spend the summer with friends in St Paul and Dakote Mrs. Garrigues and daughter Nellie will leave today for a short visit in and near Chicago. Prof. Miller, of the Normal school, is spending the summer here attending the art school. John Weitbrecht, a former Ann Arbor boy, carne up from Detroit, Monday, to see his friends. Gilbert Bliss left Saturday for Detroit. Before returning he expects to take a trip to Mackinaw. Miss Minnie Cowan leaves next week for Whitemore Lake where she will spend her vacation. F. H. Lehman, lit. '88, principal of the the Marquette high Fchool last year, was in the city Friday. A. P. Ferguson and A. W. Gasser, with their wives, spent a couple of days last week at Cleveland. Prof. Perry leaves for Bay View on Monday, where he will give instruction during the assembly. Mrs. M. C. Peterson and Miss Myrtle Couch left yesterday to spend the summer at Garretsville, Ohio. J. J. Goodyear and wife started Monday for Beach Haven, N. J., where they will epend several weeks. Mrs. Chas. Ludlow, carne from Detroit, Monday, to spend a short time visiting her father, John Moore. Prof. W. H. Hawks and wife, of Birmingham, are visiting Mrs. Hawks' parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Stimson. Rudolph Gundert is filling his old position at Wines & Worden's during the absence of Eugene Mutsohel. Jacob and Martin Seabolt, and Dan Ross went to Rush Lake, Tuesday, to enjoy a few days of camp life. Miss Lizzie Fruauff left yesterday for Portland, Oregon, expecting to remain sometime with an uncle there. Fred A. Cutler was in the city, Monday. He is macaging a hotel at Middle Baes Island and reporta a rushing business. Mrs. E. A. Hpence and children started yesterday for Kaubinway, a beautiful summer repsort in the Northern Península.
