Dodsley has gone to Fargo, D. T., to take a position in a bank. C. W. Wagner and wife returned from a trip to Mackinaw, Saturday. Register of Deeds Seery has been on ths sick list tor the past week. Theodore Reyer. of Detroit, spent Sunday with his mother in this city. Prof. J. C. Knowlton and family expect to leave for Charlevoix tomorrow. G-. W. Noble, of Buchanan, spent Sunday with his brother, A. L. Noble. Mrs. A. C. Kellogg is spending a month in the vicinity of Roch ester, N. Y. Mrs. G. E. Apfel, of Butler, Ind., is visiting her father, Adolph Kemper. Fred. Schmid and family arrived safely at South Hampton, Eagland, on Monday. J. H. Ingwerson, law '87, of Sioux Falls, D. 1, is spending a few days in the city. Mrs. Ste'ibin3 and daughter Emi:y started Monday for Petoskey to spend thtt summer. Wm. Kearns left Saturday for Cleveland to spend a couple of weeks with his brother. Major Soule and family expect to leave for their favorite summer resort, Topinabee, this week. S. W. Clarkson and wife went to Macod, last Saturday, and viaited his father until yesterday. Sscretary Wade and Steward Clark, of the University, returned from a trip to the "Soo," Saturday. Wade Doty, of Detroit, has a week's vacation which he is spending with his parents in this city. Mrs. Prof. de Pont and children leit for Whitmore Lake, Tuesday, for a oouple of weeks of recreation. Ben. P. Crane, of St. Paul, Minn., was in the city over Sunday, going from here to Indiana, llonday. Prof. Harrington returned Monday evening from Illinois, where he has been taking a ten days' vacatioc Emilia, daughter of F. Pistorius, is spending vacation with her unole, Herman Pistorius, at Baginaw City. Geo. E. Apfel, who has charge of Noble'8 branch store at Butler, Ind., has been in the city part of the week. Prof. " Tom," F. Moran, '87, of the Elk River, MiDn., schools has been spending several days with M. J. Cayanaugh. John Wahr returned from Saline Monday. His wife, who has been dangerously ill there, remained with her parents. President James Moffatt, D. D., of Washington and Jefferson College, was in the city, Monday, inspecting the University. Mrs. F. A. Eldert, of Traverse City, has returned home after visiting his sister, Mrs. W. F. Stimpson, for a couple ot weeks. Prof. C. L. Ford returned from the njnhern part of the state this week, to be piesent during the meeting of the regents. Et nest B. Perry left Monday. for Bay City, where he has accepted a position as a designer with the Hay City Industrial works. Mrs. Jacob Seabolt, with her daughter Nellie and Misses Carrie Winans and Hattie Benham, are spending the week at Rush Lake. T. F. McDonald, wife and daughter, with Dr. and Mrs. Pierce, were in Detroit last week, attending the wedding of James H. McDonald. Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Noble returned to Ann Arbor, Friday night. While away they visited Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, and Butler, Ind. On Monday last Mrs. Clara Pistorius and children went to her farm in Tittibawassee, Saginaw county, where they will spend the summer. W. W., A. C. and Chas. Nichols, with the families, returned Friday from Hudson where they had been to attend the golden wedding of their parents. Miss M. Louise Jones, of Ann Arbor, formerly superintendent of the city schools, was in the city yesterday en her way to Bay View. - Lansing Republican. Roy Scbuman, of Evanston, 111., spent Sunday in the city, the guest of J. W. Bennett. He is taking a bicycla trip to NiƔgara Fallsandcontinued.his journey Monday. A. W. Hamilton went to Cadillao last night. He has asked the council of that place for a iranchise for putting in waterworks, and the prospecta are good for his getting iU A. E. Jennings and wife, E. E. Brown and wife, and J. W. Adams and wife sail on July 20, by the Anchor line steamer "Circassia," for Europe, where they will spend two years in study. Dr. Lucy Waterloo, of Ann Arbor, a sister of Mrs. E. H. Conway, is expected to arrive today. She will assist Dr. Conway in his dentistry work, durine the warm toonths. -
