Boise City, I. T., Aug. i - The conventlon adopted the section giving power to take private property ior right of way for irrigating ditches, mine trains, dumps and tunnels. Sioux Faixs, 8. D., Aug. a- At the session of the Constitutional convention yesterday the ainendment to limit the ürst term of the State omcers to January. 191, was carried by a vote of 40 to 33. This will cause au election of State oflicers next year and make all electfons coincident. Helena, M. T., Aug. 3.- The ConsUtution al convention on Friday adopted a claune forbidding legislators, judges ormembers of the Board oL Equalization from necepting rallroad passes, under penalty of ferfelting their offices. It was decided that the Sánate shaü consist of Ui members and the House 85. Sioux Falls, 8. D., Aug. 5.- At the sesglon of the Constitutional convention on Saturday the report of the eommittee on State and municipal indebtedness was adopted. It fixes 100,000 as the limit to which the State is authorized to incur debts. Action was taken whereby State and county officials will be elected at the same time. Elections to occur every two years. The conventioa's labora are practically ended. Bism akck. N. D. , Aug. 5. -The convention voted on Saturday to pay legislators a ealary of J.ï per day, and to make the sessions of the Legislatura sixty days in length, with the exceptlon of th first eession, which may continue l'i') days. Corporations are to be prohibited from keeping black lista in order to prevent discharged employés from Becuring work. The bill of rights reported by the eommittee, with the exception of the preamble, which was ainended so as to express gratitude to Ahnighty God for religious and civil liberty. Sioux Falls, S. D., Aug. 6.- The Constitutional convention adjourned sine die on Monday, after the delegates present had afüxed their signatures to the constitution. Bismakck, N. D., Aug. (i. - The couvention has adopted the proposition giviug the Legislature power to rix railroad rates and regúlate sleeping-car, express, telephone and telegraph charges. Helena, M. T, Aug. e.- The convention on Monday adopted the propo6ition to allow clties to incur debts for water supplies. Boise City, L T., Aug. 0.- A resolution askinsr the President to take steps to prevent the free importation of Mexican lead was adopted in the Constitutional convention on Monday. It was decided to elect State oölcers after Congress has accepted the constitution. ültmpia, W. T., Ausr. 6. -In the Constitutional convention on Monday articlesof the proposed constitution were adopted as follows: Ceding jurisdiction to the Uuited States for military and naval reservations; to submit to a popular vote the question of prohibition ; giving the Legislature power to créate a railway commissiou, if it so desires; forbidding discrimination by railroads in granting privileges to telegraph coinpanies; deftning and prohibiting the formation of monopolies and trusts; limiting State taxation to three milla on the dollar; exempting from taxntion public property and buildings, churches. and tï0 in personal property to heads of families; tixing the membership of the lower branch of the Legislatura at from sixty-three to ninety-six, and the Senate froin one-half to twothirds of the number in the House, the flrst Assembly to have thirtyfive Senators and seventy Assemblymen, Senators to hold office for four years and members for two, sessions to be biennial and limited to sixty days; establishing a bureau of statistics and immigration ; prohibiting the employment of convict labor except on public works; special legislatiou by the Assembly is prohibited.
