Gilbert fc Dickson's " Sne" turned people away last evening, and the magnificent productioD was well worthy of the Urge house. The piece was well cast. Last night the Gilbert & Dickson Big Spectacular Company commenced a week'9 engagement at Pope's Theatre, presentine that weird, mystical extravaïanza of H. Rider Haggard- 'She"- to a largeand fashionable audience, MissKatie Pearson in the tille role - Ayesha. She protrayed the part wnh true artistio ability, and seetned born to rule men, the jart fitting her like a glove. Mr. Albert Dickson, as " Leo Vincey," made a favorable impression, as did Harry Gilbert, of " Holly." The balance of the cast is good. The Hot Pot dance caught the house by storm. Draper Original Mammoth Uncle Tom's Cabin Cjmpany n ihe dramatization from the woiks of thé celebrated authoress, Mr. Harriet Beecher Stowe, will be the attra'ction. The play abounds in mimculoushair-breaths escapes and marvelous sensational events. The Topsy ia an exceedingly finiohed piece of acting, and never fails to convulse the audiwith roars of laughter oue minute and the next to draw tears, and the two eccentric awyers, oréate screanu of delight. Uncle Tom, the faithful lave, makes a vivid imíreaiiion. The Jolly Coon quartette in Plantation Festival, The Tennesse Jubilee Singers in Caip-Meetinjr Hymnn, Glees and Cborusee, indicative o the Southern Durkie, "Way Down South," are worthy and attractive feactures. Jiliz escaping across the Ohio river on the floating ice and the mammoth Siberian bloodhounds n pursuit, is both thnlling and startling. The scène between Uncle Tom and Eva s touching and pathetic, likwise the death of St. Clair; the brutal Simón Le Gree is ereatly ceneured for his treatment f poor Uncle Tom, but retribution finally overtakes him, and the audience are satianed. The remarkable natural play wili be ilustrated by new and magaificent scen-ry, tonching incident, and charming musical efifects. Popular prices will prevail. r
