Washington, Aug. ía- Word has been received at the Treasury Department of the discovery of a countert eic two-dollar silver certiflcate whlch has just made its appearance in the West Washington, Aug. 24.- Itis learned upon Inquiry that the success of the Chippewa Indian Commission will result in the opening; of about 3,000,000 acres of land in Minnesota. Washington, Aug. 34.- The International American congrese will meet at Washington at noon October 2, and will be attended by from fifty to sixty deleerates, including ■ome of the most distlnguished men of Central and South America. It is not expected that the congress will do more than perfect it organization at the first sitting, and it is probable that the reception will be tendered the delegates by the President that erening. The followinsr morning the party will start upon the excursión tendered the loreign delegates by the Government of the United States. The party will leave Washington at 10 o'clock on the morning of Thursday, October 3, and take the Fall Eiver boat at New York that evenIng. The next ten days wiü be spent visiting the oramercial and manufaoturlng centers of New England and Northern New York, with a day at West Point Military Academy, and the party wilt reach Niágara Falls to remain over Sunday, October 13. Monday the journey will be' reBumed and continued to Chicago, with stops at Buffalo, Cleveland, Detroit and other cities. The trip will extend to Omaha. Washington, Aug. 26. -One "Andrew J.
