Now System Of Signals

The Michigan Central Eallroad Company Is experimenting with a new system of signalB on trains which wlU do away with the bell cord. A small whistle is in the engine oab, ia attached to pipes running underneath the cara, and coupled together in the same manner as are the air brakes. In each car is n valvo which is pulled by the conducto- and which blows the whistle in the engine cab. An engine is now being fitted with this appliauce at the shops in Jackson.
