Sin acuse, N. Y., Sept. 6.- The State Frohibition convention reassembled at 9:30 o'clock a. m. The committee on platform was not ready to report and the convention proceeded to thenomination of oandidates with the following result: Secretary of State, Jesse H. Griffln, of Steubeu County; Gomptroller, Benjamin L. Rand, of NiƔgara County; Attorney-General, Coleridge A. Hart, of New York County; State Engineer and Surveyor, Alpheus P. Kenyon, of Allegany County. The platform was then read and adopted. It declares that license, high or low, is vicious in principie and powerless as a remedy; declares local option unsatisfactory as too local and too optional and refuses to accept it as a substituto for prohibition; declares that right of BUffrage rests in no mere circumstance or color, sex or nationality; denounces trusts; demande ten years' residence as necessary for a franchise; demands adequate compensation for iaboring men, and favors paylng of taxes on what a man owns and not on what he owes. Miller; Aud tor, J E. Horton; Treasurer, A. D. HUI; Attorney-General. H. Fellows; Superintendent of Public Instruction, G. H. McFarlane; t,and Commissioner, H. S. Valkmar; Supreme Judges, S. B. Buskirk, C. H. Wlnson and D. McLaughlin; Cougressmen, L.. O. Jeffrles and S. M. Bootn. Bikmingham, Ala., Sept. 6.- About fitty delegates, from thirty counties, met Thursday and reorganized the Greenback party of Alabama. It is headed by W. H. Davidson, who was recently an unsuccessful applicant for the United States Marshalship of Northern Alabama.
