Forest Fires

Port Hurón was a few days ago surrounded by forest flres and considerable damags was done, with proralse of still more disastrous results if the drought, which had lasted two months, should continue. The Petit farra, within the city limita, was completely burued over, and the fences and much property destroyed. A barn and contente on La Peer avenue were burned to the ground, and the grand pavilion in Pine Grove Park wascompletely destroyed. Other barns within the city limits were burned. It was the driest time in the city in many y e ars. _
